Introducing RGS
Here at RAX, we aim to provide quality utilities, software, and web applications to users for free. Unfortunately though, time isn't free. To help support future development, we introduced a new software package called RAX RGS, or RAX Revenue Generation Service.
This new software, a small client you install your PC, lets you donate your unused, idle computer power to RAX to help support us. Computers that participate will take part in a variety of activities such as data or crypto-coin mining, scientific research, and similar activities. We use the proceeds of these activities to help fund development and bring you more great software.
We offer RGS instead of the more conventional donation-driven software models because we don't want to beg you for money. RGS is a solution that requires no effort or money on your part. Simply install, and leave your PC on when you're not around. RGS takes care of the rest, fetching assignments and sending results when you're away from your PC. When you come back, we automatically stop work so you don't see an impact on your computer performance.
RGS is offered to you when you exit some of our software, or you can opt in manually by installing the RAX RGS Client using the link to the left.
Finally, we understand that your PC is your PC. You can opt out at any time by uninstalling the software or using the convenient RGS Opt-Out shortcut we put in your All Programs menu.
In the future, some of our more fully-featured programs may require your participation as a condition of their license. However, at this time, your participation is entirely optional.
